John Denver, a singer-songwriter who hails from Colorado that specialized in folk pop music has touched the hearts of millions. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell new Mexico, but discovered love for Colorado. The singer-songwriter eventually settled in Aspen. More than a few people took the road to Colorado due to Denver's famous anthems to his adopted state. G. Brown the curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame declared the following: John Denver was by far one of the top artists who represented Colorado. Denver was the Hall of Fame's first ever inductee. Denver is the symbol of Colorado for many people all over the world. Through my travels, I've met people who are from New Zealand or the other side. If you inform them you're from Colorado, the first words they say are Oh John Denver. Brown declared. Take Me Home Country Roads, co-written by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief stint with folk bands and was his debut Top 10 solo hit. Danoff wrote the song along with Johnny Cash in mind but the moment Denver saw an early rendition he knew right away the song could be an instant hit. Danoff recorded the track only a few days afterward following a performance to the awe-inspiring crowd at Washington D.C.
